Design For Manufacture Service

As part of Kenard Engineering’s technical service to its customers – the ‘Design for Manufacture’ facility is available to carry out detailed evaluations of our customers’ design and manufacturing requirements.

The Kenard Engineering Design Service offers the following facilities to its customers: -

· Direct liaison with the customer’s Design Department.
· Individual design/manufacturing analysis of components and assemblies
· Manufacturing evaluation and process selection to suit requirements
· Identification of material selection options
· Assessment of service condition and life expectancy requirements
· Surface finish requirements and options available
· Special requirements (inspection/testing/packaging etc)

The Design for Manufacture service is an integral part of the Kenard Engineering operation and works closely with the sales, production and quality functions at the Dartford and Tewkesbury sites.

All projects undertaken are treated with the strictest confidentiality to ensure the protection of our customer’s designs and inventions.

All value engineering and design for manufacture recommendations are made free of charge on the assumption that Kenard Engineering Limited will be asked to undertake any future manufacturing requirements.

In the event that a resultant order is placed with a third party – Kenard Engineering Limited may exercise the option to charge a consultancy fee, based on the intellectual property design rights and the recorded times booked against the project.
